Doremus San Francisco has won four B2 Awards of Excellence from the Business Marketing Association for Corning Incorporated’s Corning® Gorilla® Glass campaign.
The B2 Awards are an international business-to-business marketing communications contest that recognizes excellence among top agencies and corporate marketers. The Business Marketing Association website says that “…where others honor style over results, you’ll find the B2 Awards honoring the successful balancing of both.”
The campaign for Corning® Gorilla® Glass won four B2 Awards of Excellence in the following categories:
· Integrated Campaign B2B2C (for Total B2C and B2B Program)
· TV Advertising Campaign (for Broadcast/Cable TV Advertising, Campaign)
· TV Spot “King Of the Office” (for Broadcast/Cable TV Advertising, Single Spot)
· CES Away-from-Home Campaign (for Traditional Outdoor, Single or Campaign)

About the campaign
Doremus' campaign for Corning® Gorilla® Glass launched in tandem with Corning’s first appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas earlier this year. The campaign employs a cast of very tech-savvy gorillas putting cell phones, Tablets and HD TVs through their paces, much like “urban gorillas” of the human kind. Concepts and situations in the ads play off the juxtaposition of the product with headlines that read: “Tough, yet beautiful.” “Tough, yet handsome.” “Tough, yet refined.” “Tough, yet fashionable.” “Tough, yet ingenious.”
John Mannion, Executive Vice President, Director of Client Relations for Doremus said, “Doremus is honored to call Corning our client, and Corning deserves recognition for encouraging creative work that shakes up the category. We are very proud that the campaign received four Awards of Excellence from the BMA.”
